At this time of year, professionals throughout Washington, D.C. are preparing for to celebrate the holidays. But in Germany and throughout Europe and other parts of the world, a very important and special anniversary celebration is taking place - the 20th Anniversary of the Fall of the Berlin Wall. Tonight, you are able to celebrate both occasions in rare and special party like never before.

Twenty years ago, at this time, West Berliners and East Berliners met for the first time and brought down the terrible Berlin Will that had divided them since 1961. It was the biggest sign that the dreaded Cold War was coming to an end. After decades of death, civil rights deprivation, and incidents bringing us to the brink of nuclear War, a new era was finally beginning.

Tonight, you are invited into "Germany" to recreate the collapse of the Berlin Wall and celebrate as they did at the Brandenberg Gate back in late 1989.

This is also your opportunity to kick off the holiday season on foreign soil as we invite you to a very special holiday gala. As the "Wall" is broken this evening. we'll also celebrate the holiday times with a live band, late night dancing to a DJ, German Holiday food and drinks, East vs. West European holiday chocolate, and donate to a worthy cause with holiday presents for local hospitalized children.

Slip on your gowns and tuxedos for a night of dinner, music, and dancing as step back in time twenty years and celebrate the season as Berliners were celebrating the holidays as they never did before. We'll begin with a fascinating inside look into the Wall and the Anniversary. Then we will "break" tonight's New Berlin Wall for the holiday and anniversary festivities to begin!
