Evening at the Embassy of Ukraine
Once a vital economic center of the Soviet Union, Ukraine is now a thriving independent European powerhouse filled with a rich culture, incredible scenery and exciting history. Tonight, join your fellow young professionals as you step onto foreign soil as we invite you to a special cultural evening at the Ukrainian Embassy. Mix and mingle with diplomats as we experience a culture from the other side of the world.

(B) UKRAINIAN BEVERAGES:
Enjoy a wide variety of the best in authentic Ukrainian wine, beer and other beverages - many coming straight from the embassy (the only place they are available in the United States).
(C) UKRANIAN MUSICAL & DANCE PRESENTATION:
The Embassy has invited a special Ukrainian troupe to present us with a unique cultural look into Ukrainian folklore song and culture. Their costumed interpretations conjure up special images of the rich lands and vast cities of this Central European charm.
Including, among the performances:
(1) The Zaporozhets (sword) Dance: Young Ukranian males dance to celebrate victory and safe return home from battle.
(2) The Chumak: A salt merchant dances to celebrate a successful journey and becomes a bit overjoyed.
(3) The Kozachok: A medley of traditional male Ukrainain steps
(4) The Hospodarsky: A Farmer’s dance demonstrates love of the land
(5) The Mystochuk: (bridge) Ukranian "get acquainted" dance
(D) UKRANIAN FILM:
View an optional film highlighting the attractions, people, and culture of Ukraine.
(E) DIPLOMATIC GREETING:
Hear from and meet high ranking diplomats from the Embassy. They will answer any questions that you may have. At present the Ambassador has been invited, but we have not confirmed his attendance yet.
(F) UKRANIAN ART GALLERY:
You will be awed by the numerous native Ukrainian authentic paintings and sculptures available for your study and viewing pleasure (including a special presentation of Ukrainian dolls, and crafts prepared from around the world - even a former native Ukrainian/U.S. Congressman).
(G) SPECIAL ADDITION:
George Washington has a special tie to the space now occupied by the Ukrainian Embassy. We will visit the famous "Washington Room" and understand why - as we are privy to signed documents by General Washington, paintings, and more!
Suggested Attire: Business Casual (no jeans or tee shirts). Collard Shirts and Ties preferred at a minimum.
